Meet Branden
Branden is a pastor, coach, network leader, musician, worship leader, and music producer based in New York City. He is also the founder and executive director of Global Cities Network, a church planting network focused on starting new churches in global cities around the world.
Branden has been coaching and consulting with leaders, pastors, and church planters for more than ten years and has a passion to help leaders discover resilient growth in their personal, spiritual, ministry and leadership lives. He believes each coaching client has tremendous capacity to learn more about who they are and how God has created them to lead.
Branden earned his Doctor of Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary and did his research on building and maintaining resilience for urban church planters. He also holds a Master of Practical Theology from Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University, an MBA (Human Resource Management Emphasis) from Oklahoma Wesleyan University, a Bachelor of Music (Jazz Emphasis) from the University of Northern Iowa, and a Master’s Certificate in Music Production from Berklee College of Music.

Branden has been coaching church planters for more than 10 years. Branden’s approach is to learn about your vision for your church plant and to help break through obstacles to achieving that vision while prioritizing the health of the church planter. He is adept at helping identify the season of the church plant and helping the planter with the unique challenges of each season. He is also skilled at helping the planter identify their context and adjust ministry strategy to see fruit in that context.
Urban Ministry Coaching
Branden has ministered in a global city urban ministry context in New York City for more than 10 years. Through his own experience, Branden is able to help you identify barriers to effective and fruitful ministry in the urban context. Topics of contextualization, resilience, identity, financial challenges, self care, and relationships often surface when ministering in an urban environment. Branden can help you develop a plan to address and move through these barriers.
Resilient Leadership Coaching
Resilience is the ability to face difficult circumstances and grow through them. Resilience is different from just “gritting” your way through the hard times. Resilience is about learning and adapting as you address the challenges in front of you. Done well, you can grow through the hard times.
